The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the release of import defensive back Deante Purivs.

Purvis signed as a free agent on Aug. 20, 2013. He played in the Labour Day Classic where he returned three kickoffs for 76 yards.

Wow. So someone please tell me they have another returner that is expected to come in and play so that way of starters will stop getting injured. This is non-sense.

I guess the team doesn't remember Holliman's first game. Rookies make mistakes but this kid has serious talent. The way the team is handling personnel this season is a serious joke.

It seems to have been the same ongoing thing for 3 years, since TJ was traded for a bag of chips. Reed is the only constant with the scenario of running through return men like crap through a goose.

They don't have the luxury of having a dedicated return man with a LS, P, and K already on the roster. Whoever comes in, needs to be able to backup a position player.
