It was 2010, but you're right, he was a monster down the stretch, he practically won us that game against Winnipeg single-handedly.

Esks Release Mike Reilly Sunday, October 10th, 2013

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the release of import quarterback Mike Reilly.

On January 31, 2013, Reilly was traded to the Edmonton Eskimos by the BC Lions; the trade included the exchange of the clubs' second round picks in the 2013 CFL Draft and the Lions receiving the Eskimos' second round pick in the 2014 CFL Draft.

... "it became clear he was heading in a different direction than the rest of the club"...

Well, not much doubt of that.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

PR Roster spots have expanded now. Why is ours not full of players to evaluate like Winnipeg's? They signed 5 players when the PR expanded on Wednesday...

Insufficient scouting to find anyone worth putting on the practice roster. At least that's my guess.

Couldn't get enough players to have a rookie camp either (and no the off-season workout was not our rookie camp). The Esks were entitled to an off-season workout session for 3 days or something in addition to rookie camp a few days before main camp. They decided to pass on rookie camp this season... (why?!?).

This is a head scratcher for me, did we lose someone that we don't know about?

                            So he was....
                            2008 - Als PR
                            2009 - Nothing
                            2010 - 4x Games w/Argos
                            2011 - Nothing
2012 - "Spent time with the BC Lions"
                            2013 - Nothing till now...

Yeah I'm not sure why we need him at this point. If he was a good Canadian receiver - wouldn't he have caught on with one of the three other teams already? Not to mention he'll be 30 in a few months... Weird.

I'm guessing he played for Leroy at Bishops. Perhaps a quick look to see if we might be interested in bringing him in for a look see next year (post-Ottawa draft). I'm also going to guess he will be released by the end of the season.

Could have been recommended by Reilly also, since he was the QB in the highlite vid. Travis Moore was receiver coach in BC then also.
