Masoli done for the year.

That will make it only 4 starts in the last two years, and 20 total in the last five. I'm thinking this may be it for him. Terrible news as I've liked him ever since we briefly saw him in Green and Gold.

For a league that is struggling with their QB play, this is terrible news

Thought I might be the only one that recalled J.M. was here. Believe we got fleeced big time in the trade with Hamilton. Simoni Lawrence went east and I can't recall any player sticking here from the Tabbies. Lordy, that has to be a decade ago. Ya really have to be concerned about JM's football future considering his age.

Wojt was also in that trade going to Hamilton. The players coming to Edmonton were Rockhill and Kanya. Rockhill was released before the season began and I don't recall Kanya ever starting a game though played some special teams for a couple seasons.

Wojt was their nominee for outstanding lineman that year
Lawrence has been a 5 time all star for them and Masoli was also an all-star each having at least once represented the East as Outstanding player at their positions.

Wojt was a good lineman. Him & Lawrence for those guys, Yikes. Guess it's a lot easier to hate Lawrence when he's with another team.

MBT has been released. I would love to see him here and with the cap savings from Lewis it may be possible. The big question for me would be if he wants to come here as our Oline is brutal. More likely that he will end up in Ottawa.

IIRC there was a tweet mentioning Ottawa has contacted him and other clubs as well.. you'd think we'd be one....as for our Oline - ya they suck - but he does get the ball out fast no ?

Not sure about Calgary, they don't usually go out and grab free agents but you never know.

There are a few teams desperate for a QB. I can't recall a time where the QB play has been as bad as it is right now

Perhaps a result of the new leagues. More demand for players in every position, but QB is where you'd notice the lack of supply the most.

Ottawa just gained significantly more cap savings. Hard to guess if McAdoo's presence would be a selling point for EE or roadblock.

He was a FA signing by Hamilton albeit 3-1/2 months after he became a FA in Feb 2014. I suspect he was trying to get another NFL shot. When June rolled around without an NFL deal he signed with Hamilton.

Definitely a factor but I think starting QBs have the potential to make more in the CFL so there is still some incentive. I also think we're seeing the impact of the rule changes that led to teams only dressing 2 QBs for a couple seasons.

Having that 3rd QB travelling and dressed every game seeing things first hand likely helped build some depth of players truly understanding the game. To think both Collaros and Harris were backups to Ricky Ray at the same time.
