With week 3 in the books, couchspud is in the lead by himself with a 10-2 record! Adb and I are on his heels, with adb snagging a bonus point to sit alone in second place. All four road teams win this week, with 29+ points in all four games. Weird week, actually!
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Edmonton vs. Ottawa. Combined record of 0-5. Two worst teams by a long shot post covid. Both starting QBs getting first career start. Ottawa had the bye week, but they are playing at home and their home record since 2019 is even worse than the Elks with the only win since July 2019 being vs. the Elks. I can't pick both to lose. Maybe we'll see a tie where the final OT possessions will be an Interception against the first team, then a blocked Field Goal vs. the second. Both teams snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Winnipeg vs. Montreal. Montreal off to a pretty decent start, albeit against teams that are a combined 0-5. Montreal at home. Could be an upset announcing Montreal's official arrival as a team to beat in the East, but Winnipeg hasn't lost back to back in a game that matters since October 2019.
BC vs. Toronto. Both teams undefeated, but Toronto is at home and seems to be continuing the form from their Grey Cup win. BC coming off a huge wins against a strong Bombers team then getting the champs is a perfect opportunity to stake their claim to the West.
X-Factor. East vs. West games traditionally go to the Western team 90% of the time early in the season, but the West is really looking mediocre this year outside of BC and Winnipeg.Last edited by bone; 06-28-2023, 12:44 PM.

After this week, we have a new co-leader, namely, me! Been a while since I've been in such heady company as couchspud. Somehow, adb has gotten enough bonus points to claim third place at 13-6, even though cmbuk and naf are 14-5. As usual this season, it's very close throughout.
This is your weekly reminder, a day earlier than usual... games start up again in three days!

Winnipeg beating the spread seems like a foregone conclusion to me.
