Neither team needs the win. Both teams have had a similar record in the second half of the season. They play each other again next week for keeps in the same building so there isn't even the argument of a team wanting to win their last home game. Both teams will play the most vanilla playbook ever to not tip the other team off about what they want to do the next week. The game literally means less than nothing with both teams likely playing the most conservative game possible.
The only thing I could see coming into play is Maas teams don't lose often to teams that finish behind them in the standings. In fact the last time he did was August 2018.
