Yeah this personal rule that I have of never picking against the elks is really hurting me but I'm just here to have fun.

Two weeks ago I was ninth, so yeah with all the weird results it's possible to make some quick moves.

A lot of ups downs for all of us in the pool this year, except cmbuk. All four games were barn burners this year, which is great! And only FOUR of use have picked more winners than losers, so they're unpredictable as well. Cmbuk continues to lead by three points, but there are five players between 40 and 42 points right behind him. Lots of elksherders in play.

Whoa... things are tightening up at the top, and I'm the one doing it! Somehow, I went 4-0 this week to put some heat on cmbuk, whose lead has dwindled to two points. Five players are breathing down my neck though, including E4E, who apparently chose all the scores at the beginning of the season. E4E, if you end up winning the pool with that strategy, I will place you in the Hall of Honour. If we don't have one, I'll make one and place you in it.

This has been the ugliest year I've ever had (but I think many can relate), but in spite of that, that is the best single week I've had in a long time, going 4-0 plus two bonus points for a ten point week.

That's quite a feat. Over the last month I went from 2nd last place into 2nd place and now back into the bottom half. It's been a hell of a ride.

I got burned on it this time. I default to 30-20 for the home team always when this opens up. Since I was away I never updated it. Not sure I would have gone 30-20 Elks, but I felt good about them going in and would likely have switched it to an Elks victory at least. That 5 point swing is a big one.
