I think the same way. I am sure he can bring some vet leadership but playing a going to be 36 yr old over a guy in his 20's just for leadership makes zero sense. There is a reason why most football players don't play into their late 30's.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

I have a feeling that Manny will be in our roster but will be 1 gamed throughout the year until someone goes down.
I also think that his salary is modest, lets face it. He does not need the money. So he signed for less.

        Manny (1 game)

That is probably more likely the case. If they value his leadership enough to bring him back again, I bet that happens. It's the CFL way to make for bigger rosters.

Sure there's room for Manny too... in the Secondary of course

Manny was productive last year and he managed to grind out good yards after catch. Being a vet, he might accept the depth and the role better than a newcomer. I could see him returning still.

I wonder about Coates’ conditioning. That may ultimately bite him, though I like his experience.

Ffrench, Bigue and Simms all had their moments. Wouldn’t mind hanging onto them on PR if they’d be in.

I could see us throwing one, maybe two of those guys on the PR. We have a slight advantage over the other teams as we are going to get a second game look at some of these guys before we need to make more cuts.

Depth chart is out, sounds like its going to be 1s vs 1s to start

No Pelley, Hutter, or Grymes that I can see, but otherwise this seems like how it might be shaking out.

I wonder if Ceresna goes back to DT along with Pelley when both are playing, or if Ross has unseated Pelley as a starter? If so, why is Ceresna (our lone all star in 2022) now at DE instead of where he was an All Star?

CJ's depth charts are only worth about 1 play, then they switch up. Will be interesting to see how we deploy our Dline when the real bullets start flying

I thought the same thing but I think that’s Moore’s nickname as well

Eighteen cuts today, including a few names I thought could stick around. Hutchins, Harry, Coates, Lucas, Cimankinda and Begue among the notables. It will be interesting if any land on PR.
