6-12 considering the **** going on to start the year would be seen as a very positive development, and I've let it ride one more year.
5-13, probably enough provided it isn't earned by winning five straight here by small margins, only to lose the final 4 badly.
4-12, I'd probably be leaning towards no depending on how they looked in the losses.
You make a good point about how they finish being important.

They beat Hamilton. Awesome. I am very glad they won. But Hamilton is a pretty bad team playing their 3rd string QB, Still a win so I will take it.
They beat Ottawa at home. Finally, got that over with. But again, Ottawa isn't that good of a team and again, they are playing their 2nd, maybe 3rd string QB. But I will take the win.

If they can at least beat Calgary once, maybe twice. That's awesome but once again, Calgary isn't a very good team.

The key will be the last 4 games. If they get destroyed by BC and Winnipeg and Toronto then lose to Montreal who's a middle tier team, it doesn't look as good. They need to win a few more games and against the best teams at least look decent to truly end off this year on a positive note.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

Whats good is they where handing Winnipeg their lunch for half the game.. build on that. BC hasn't been doing so hot the last while. So there is hope there...

Any team can beat another in CFL on any given day... Love that...

I've heard that a lot about the Winnipeg game and I have to disagree. The Bombers outscored the Elks 38-7 after the first quarter. It was pretty much mostly Bombers half way through the second quarter and on.

We were winning 22-10 at the half and got outscored only 10-7 in the second quarter. It was the second half that got us

I agree that they need to beat a good team but I wouldn't chalk the BC game up as a loss just yet, they haven't been playing all that well and we are a much different team then the last time we played. That being said the bar for me is 5 wins in the final 9 games, which would give us a winning record in the second half of the season. This is NOT giving Jones a pass as hes made some huge errors for sure, I'm just not sold that making a change again is going to be the right move.

They scored 7 total points in 3 quarters after the first. I am trying not to argue with you but IMO when you get outscored 38-7 in the final 3 quarters, the fact it was 10-7 in the second quarter IMO is trying to put lipstick on a pig. The Bombers really took it to the Elks after that first quarter.

It's all in how they finish for me. If the Elks go out and win 4 in a row beating 3 bad teams in Hamilton, Ottawa and Calgary, then get whipped by Toronto, BC and Winnipeg. IMO it's pretty hard to look at the season as a positive. They were 4-14 last year. The goal was to improve on that and it's not a given they will. Now I think Jones will stick around thanks to the cap regardless but people can't look past the start and Jone's record 2 years in a row.

You could be right about BC but Edmonton will have to play a very good game and BC a very bad one for the Elks to win IMO. I know the Elks are a different team but getting shut out twice by the same team is no small thing.

Its all in how you frame it. If you take out the 4th quarter we win 29-24

Both rec Dillon Mitchell and special teamer Jake Taylor are on the field today as the #Elks return to practice Both left early from Sunday’s win over Ottawa. I would not call Mitchell a full participant (no helmet)
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

Does anyone know what "limited means?" If limited means he's in pads and participating in most of the drills, maybe not all the drills, that's a lot different that just being in shorts and a t-shirt, doing some light jogging but mostly watching practice from the sidelines.
