The forecast for this game is so depressing. That said, looing at the hourly forecast we could be in for one of those old time Eskimo specials where the weather sucks leading up to the game, clears up just in time for kickoff and you have a beautiful sunny game without crazy high temperatures.

maybe... then at the half it comes down hard for a while, then off and on all game.

that kills the walk up crowd... they'll see the rain and decide eff that even if it ends up clearing over CW before kickoff.

Is there even such thing as a walk up crowd now that tickets are all purchased online?
That said, I agree. Hopefully it clears up a bit earlier than the forecasted 6:00 right now and people give it a shot. Some of the nicest games last year it was pouring 2 hours before game time. Actually that seemed to be the norm last year. I was pretty happy with the game time weather last year.
I think you may be right but usually its a good thing to play a team when you are coming off of a bye week and they are on a little bit of a shorter week.
I think you are right, but getting these harder teams early in the season, if they can pull off any victory it's a bonus, plus it gets them reps against good teams which could serve them well once the schedule softens up a bit provided the team doesn't get down on itself.
I'm fully expecting an 0-3 start now, but if they can stay competetive in these games they could rebound to get back to .500 by Labour Day.

My personal opinion is that wins build confidence. Moral victories not so much. If we go 0 and 3 I can see the team really being down even if they are close games and it might be really hard to pull out of what feels like a nose dive. Hopefully they find a win somewhere over the next 2 games.
“RUN THE DANG BALL!" -Leigh Anne Tuohy character from the film The Blind Side
"Next time, take a case of Pil into the huddle. If you don't get a beer, get the hell off the field!" -New special teams coach for the Riders
"When the Eskimos are out on defense it looks like there are two or three number 47s out there." -Duane Ford
"...I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, I enjoy the banter though ..." -Looner

I agree, with the caveat being that this isn't like last year where they were going into it expecting to take the next step and were looking at the first three games having 2 winnable games in that they had Sask at home who had missed the playoffs the prior 2 seasons and Toronto had just lost their starting QB and had to go with a rookie.
This year is expected to be a bit of a slow build anyways and the first three games had BC in a home opener with a lot of hype behind it, Montreal who's going to be pissed off until they clinch first place again, and Winnipeg who's also coming into the season pissed off and expecting results in a cup hosting season.
They will need to make sure it doesn't jump up to 0-4 vs. Ottawa though.
I'm not sure if i'll be able to attend the game tomorrow... only if I devise a way to stop our puppy from going under the driver's seat and popping up by the pedals.... with 2 people in the car its easy as one just holds her. Cant let her have that freedom when only one person in the car.... tried blankets to stop her,., but she just pulls them out.. I don't have 2nd row head rests ( thats a seperate story )
