Ford is running himself right into these sacks.

Morgan got hurt missing a tackle. Fitting.

By the definition of the rule, yes it’s a penalty which is why they shouldn’t have challenged it and they weren’t going to win it. The ref however shouldn’t be making the call. Both guys were fighting for the ball and 16 turned his head around.

You have to let the players play sometimes.

Chris Jones knew. Ford is not the answer.
              I miss MBT.

I don’t know why they don’t give Fajardo a set or two to see if there’s a spark there.

Sherritt has been considered a promising defensive mind, but there’s a lot of inexperience all around. Maxie has around, but you’re pretty raw in the other positional coach positions.

I disagree. The problem with Ford is exactly that.

His first season, he finished it really well.

He should have been the immediate starter knowing him going through a full season of learning and taking his lumps was going to happen. Because that DIDN’T happen, we’re going through it now.

His mistakes are all young, super athletic and mobile QB stuff:

                  1) Escaping the pocket to the outside instead of stepping up.

                  2) Reading his progressions and not just 1 guy and escape.

We need to have patience with him and give him a massive chunk of this season to develop.

Steps up in the pocket instead of leaving out the back door..

                    Touchdown.

Wrong. He’s been a LB coach for two years in the CFL, one with Calgary and one with Saskatchewan.

He was the DC at Cal Poly in the NCAA for four seasons in between those two CFL coaching stints as well.

                        - 72 points in 2 games is unacceptable
                        - both coordinators UNDERWHELMING
                        - tough start to the schedule
                        - Either put Ford in positions of strength or start fajardo and live in quick game
                        - I am SICK OF LOSING

JC was always the biggest question mark coming in with all that talent on defence .. we look lost out there
not helped by an offence who can’t sustain drives and can’t generate 1st downs.. can’t commit to the run game
fords pick in the ez is ball placement was so poor like give your 7 ft wr a chance to get it, it was short and not high enough, every other qb has that high and attack able

                        stats padded at the end
Ford has set of skills which I don’t think Jordan has any clue what do with
id Also argue he isn’t a good mental qb he relays to much on the broken play

im more upset with our lack of offence in 1st halves than anything else
but with the talent we have in the front 7 we should not be leaking 70 points

I love Ford but he feels like a gimmick..

where I know what I’m getting with fajardo, and Mbt before that
                        read progressions and quick decisions

were going 0-3 and then we gotta try and stack some wins

I felt our only shot at an early win was bc ( 2 new hc’s ) but rourke is a better pro level qb then Ford, he knows when to step into a pocket and knows when to use his legs and I think that’s where Ford needs to grow

I am in agreement of the opinion, only way to get better is to play .. so put him in position to succeed.. right now maksymic isn’t

                        very disapointed

                        plus side we looked AMAZING

yup... Ford has been gimmicky and still is. i still see zero progression from last year. no pun intended. His throw to wide open Mathis in endzone was short instead of leading him to the corner where only he can go get it.

doesnt have the stuff between the ears to work with any OC gameplan, i dont know..... listen to this puzzling line post game from Ford. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7fJHFmOqpw ....................."back to who we are as an offence....less gameplan things, and just play football...." uhhh?wtf? you mean sandlot football as we say? Youre a professional, take some accountability. I dont like Ford's interviews either, doesnt take much accountability, is this how young people are now? Hes so nonchalant

call me overly critical but man.... add this with the supposed pouting/ hamming it up on sidelines last year during losses not studying the ipad with MBT etc etc etc.

Saw this and couldn’t actually believe he said it. Less gameplan and just play..

Your 20 points behind mate.. people will just quarters us at that point that’s why it looks like your making stuff happen

honestly I think synder would have more success staying in the gameplan than Tre

his pick was so poor and in that same post game he even said he didn’t see the underneath guy so he assumed it was an easy grab for Mathis.

                            gotta be better

d don’t get no let up either 2 majors on first 2 drives ain’t gonna cut it with 14 days prep

2 flags on pi’s which generated points for Montreal and sure we pressured Alexander but he was allowed to escape because we couldn’t contain

Tough game against a tough team. I really feel like our dark days started around the time we let Maas go, we should have stuck with him as he learned and I feel the same way about JC Sherritt. He is, by all accounts, a smart coach that just needs the experience, I fully expect him to get better as the season goes. I'm not sure if our lack of pressure comes from soft coverage or lack of push from the front 4 but we have 1 sack in 2 games, which is nowhere near good enough.

                                Negatives:
                                • 5 sacks given up. Part of this is on Tre as he is escaping into coverage, instead of climbing the pocket
                                • 0 take aways and it didn't even feel like we were close to getting one.
                                • Fords interception. While it was underthrown, receivers are supposed to come back to the ball and catch it at its highest point. Mathis kept falling away instead of standing his ground and attacking the ball. I put this one on both of them.
                                • Fords decision making - A couple of his longer completions were throws into double coverage. The one to Dunbar down the sidelines could have been picked by the underneath man but he squeezed it over his shoulder, Also thought there was a few times where he should have thrown the ball away instead of lobbing one into the hands of Rankin.
                                • More stuff but I'll stop there.
                                Positives (there are some)
                                • We didn't give up
                                • Blatchard had a great game, both of his kicks were right down the middle
                                • Smith is great in the return game, he runs with no concern for his own safety, averaging 21.4 yards per kick off return vs 8.8 for Montreal
                                • Our special teams were good.
Its getting harder and harder to swallow these losses.
