Why can't it be Ford? He's amazing with his legs and he can pull it back and throw from time to time. It keeps him engaged with the offence and takes advantage of his strengths. He should be used as a gadget QB and what better time to pull off a surprise play than when you are continually getting stuffed on short yardage? I seem to recall JJ calling trick plays to Purifoy a couple times last year that worked out pretty well.

100% agree with this. I get that you want to take advantage of situations where you can get Snyders feet wet but to go from “Ford is our Guy” to not even letting him step on the field is crazy.

In the past two games, the Elks have played Harris and Mitchell; two QB's who are known to be immobile. How many sacks in those two games? That's a really big problem.

Huge problem. The lack of sacks and turnovers is a soul embarrassing at this point.

Then again, I remember something about Chris Jones wanting Ford to be a gadget guy and Ford refused. My memory is foggy so someone else can chime in. But if he refuses to do short yardage, then that would explain why Snyder is doing it.

He can fall forward like any other short yardage QB in the league. What I'm saying is he can also offer more than that, pull it out and get the edge on a run, make a nice surprise toss into the end zone, offer up a wrinkle here and there. If anything, he keeps the defence guessing. It's a nice option to have.

The team is totally Cody’s now , and should be the rest of the season , The team moves the ball way better than with Ford , Love Cody as our starter and should sign him to an extension , , we lost to the two top teams in the league by a total of 7 points , Cosy did his job and had the go ahead td right in the hands of Julien Grant , Cody should start the rest of the season , we wouldn’t be this record if we never wasted the starts with Ford , just to make the crybabies happy, we threw away 14 points , that drop for td late in game plus the goal line stop, should have won by 10 , it’s the best we looked all season

It’s like there’s a curse on this club, anyone who comes here is doomed to fail. 19 and 56 all time since the name change… What we thought were the dark days of the Eskimos were nothing compared to what the Elks have been since their inception. This team has no identity.
