Game #11 Labor day classic vs the Stumps

Prior to the season this back to back set was viewed as some of our easier games but that is not the case. Lets hope we get bad VA cause if we don't this could be a long day

Taking my boys (10 and 12 years old) for their first ever away Esks game! Win or lose I’m hoping for one hell of a game down there!

I read somewhere earlier this week that VA missed practice due to an illness of some sort , I’m guessing he is back , but what a HUGE break that would be for ESKS

Rather beat them at their best, but Calgary offense minus VAJ is a huge drop off.

That said, the backup got some reps and likely learned something from them and could possibly apply them to a better performance next time he gets in. He's had a meaningful number of snaps in the NFL and even won 5 out of his 9 starts down there, so there has to be some raw talent there if 2 different NFL teams actually played him.

Adams practiced with the Stamps yesterday. Apparently he looked fine.

Yup. I’m excited for this game but trying to temper it a little cause I’m somewhat expecting disappointment. You never know though!

Win or lose it should be a good measuring stick to see how far we’ve come at least.

I’m hoping that our OC has drawn up a bunch of plays with both Rankin and Leake in the backfield and that he tests the edge with a bunch of short passing plays. Calgary has really been good at plugging up the middle in the run game so hopefully we are not afraid to be creative to start and sprinkle in the run game after that.

I’ve always loved the white jerseys with gold pants, but white with white is so slick. The new jerseys look great.

TSN sure knows how to extend a game. How many times have we seen the CFL on TSN intro? Wasn’t the game supposed to start at 3:30?
