Down a couple of key pieces for this game, I'm curious to see what we are going to do in the linebacking core. I suspect that we will slide Dublanko over to Mack but who comes in at will?

Nothing against Fajardo but if this game starts going that way I think you have to go to Ford. Stamps won’t be ready for him and he did beat them 3 times last year so… [/
Nothing against Ford , but Cody gives us the best chance to win EVERY game , just saying ,Cody gave us 3 straight wins , should have beat Hamilton , and barely lost to riders , otherwise we would be winless without Cody , EVERY sports commentator and knowledgeable fan says the team plays with more confidence with Cody as our starter , again nothing against FordLast edited by dealerd; 09-05-2025, 11:23 AM.

I’m actually all In on thisOriginally posted by dealerd View PostNothing against Ford , but we need to lock up Cody as our starter for next 3 years , let’s go Ed get Cody signed ASAP so we have a true number 1 locked up for years to come
we need to give him some legit weapons next year though

I'm not the biggest fan of cody, however he should start. The Oline isn't helping him. And when your offense is only effective with Rankin, you're in for a world of hurt if the opposition stops him.
All I want to see if a few series here and there / short yardage plays with ford. Let him get some reps. If Winnipeg can do with Streveler who cant throw past 8 yards then there is zero reason why we dont with Ford. It is truly mind boggling to me.

Stevvy’s skill set is way different to Ford… Streveler has a vertical run ability and is big and bulky enough to absorb hits and punishmentOriginally posted by Esks4ever View PostI'm not the biggest fan of cody, however he should start. Ford is less thick and is a more mobile qb… That equates to different dynamics scheme wise
that’s why it’s always guys like streveler and Steven’s on Calgary now.. that have that thicker frame that can cause probs for a play or 2
Ford takes up time and reps to install a package for him..

there is zero reason there isn't a series here and there for ford. zero. Takes time - he's had half a season. Reps: well duh how about we give him some. Even if its a run Gives the D something else to watch for. There isn't a huge downside to. .. Lets see if he has. Not asking for a quarter just a series here and there.
I'd like to hear Hervey on the matter.. .if they have ZERO intention of giving him playing them - then just get rid of him. Stop wasting his time here. Last game. down by 21. Mere mins left and cody is still in? That was prime time to see Ford - its not like Cody was going to get 21 points in 5 mins.

I’m not saying Ford should start any means, but if by the 2nd or 3rd quarter this game is looking like a continuation of Monday and Cody is getting hit too much to find a rhythm again then that would be the perfect opportunity to throw Ford out there and try to knock the Stamps D off balance instead of just doing the same thing we did Monday over and over with no results.Originally posted by cmbuk View Post
No.. def not
In the second half of a home and home where neither team has time to make a ton of adjustments that seems like a huge advantage to have in the back pocket.Last edited by ben_the_eskimo; 09-05-2025, 01:00 PM.
