Fajardo is only on a one year deal which leaves a lot riding on this year. It will be hard for the team to move on should he become a fan favorite and lead the team to a playoff win. Not so much if they miss the post season again.

Both Winnipeg and Sask could be looking to a new QB for next year which will bring some bargaining power to Cody. For the record, I expect both him and the team to do well this year.

I'd be happier with one, OK with two, and hell **** no to 3.. We need to start letting the next gen QB's ( Powel, Snyder, Zebrowski ) play.

Between him, Snyder and Zebrowski, I think we have our next starting QB under contract this year.

They talk a bit about the role in this interview. Sounds like a bit of all the things we tossed around on here.

u have offensive / defensive consultants I think this is just another term for general consultant

head not here to coach the coaches per say.. just be an addition coach on staff who’s qualified to cover a multitude of tasks
or maybe he'll be analyzing the opposition's coaches... muhahahah

The guy has experience in almost every possible role in the CFL coaching ranks so probably not a bad option to have around to provide support wherever deficiencies start to show up. Though the area he has the least experience is on the offensive side which is the most probable deficiency based on last year.

Don't mind having some experience on the staff as the group as a whole is still pretty new at their designated roles and he has a lot of ties to this organization as well that he should have his heart in the right place and focussed on making this team great again.

I wonder if the term analyst has any significance regarding the football operations cap. I seem to recall teams hiring people as "consultants" in the past (Chris Jones in Toronto comes to mind) and someone mentioned that was a way around some element of the rules, whether it's the number of coaches on staff or the cost. At any rate, I thought the staff might be a tad lighter on experience once Maxie departed, so I'm not going to complain about this.
