But to be fair to fans who aren't going for whatever reason or are going for the first time ever or first time coming back, no matter what happens in that game, you guys are going to the next one if you can make it, no matter what. So this isn't meant as a shot at all but I do feel like your viewpoint and a Looner's at times is a bit bias at times because you are already going and will continue to go. They don't have to convince you to come. You are already going. So while I do agree that for some, if the game is really exciting, they will be happy even if they lose. I don't think that is the case for others.

The Elks brand is associated with losing. This brand was a North American laughing stock team based on how much they lost. So if I were a casual fan, I finally come and they lose, that would leave a bad taste in my mouth because all the Elks did was lose for years, I show up, they lose. I am not saying it's right but I guarantee that would happen. For me, if I made the drive after 8 yrs of being away and they lost, I would find it as a downer.

Again, I am coming from a good place. I am not coming at you or your opinion. I agree that for some fans, if the game is super entertaining and they lose a close one, it won't impact some peoples opinion but I really think a win is crucial here for the fan base and I bet if we could hear the organizations thoughts, they are praying for a win and it doesn't have to do with standings. If they win the game in front of the biggest crown in who knows how many years, that would be massive.
Those are exactly the people I'm talking about. Of course I'm back, I'm irrelevent to this conversation. Many of the people who aren't regulars care about having a good time moreso than about the team. Make sure they have a good time.

Riverhawks lose often, but if people had a good time that's what they talk about, not the result.

Respectfully you are different than most of the new people that will be attending tomorrow, because you clearly do care more about the team than most as evidenced by the fact you talk about them on this board with us. Winning is paramount to you, and that is great. Casual viewers aren't on this message board living and dying by the result and are moreso looking for a good night out with some entertainment and of course winning adds to the entertainment value, but isn't the only way to entertain.

If anyone doesn't think we have the right guy steering the ship now, respectfully they are wrong.

Apologies if this has been posted already.

Ed Hervey was interviewed by the TSN panel a week ago and IMHO, it's a strong candidate for CFL interview of the year (if there was such a thing). The best line was about doing things the "Eskimo way".

I absolutely LOVE the fact that Hervey speaks his mind. So many people today are so afraid to be direct and critical that they dance around an issue out of fear that someone somewhere will be offended. Hervey's directness and the fact that he has no time for hurt feelings is, IMO, one of his best qualities. We saw that when he was dealing with Geno Lewis and the "No superstars in the CFL" comment.

I'm also pleased to see that Chris Morris has the same mindset. Between Hervey, Morris and Darlene Thompson, I think that this team is in great hands!

Yeah, the panel was still talking about the Hervey interview this week, said it was "the interview of the year". Refreshing to hear someone speak truth, without fear.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

The Eks have suspended O.J. Hilliare and signed receiver and return specialist Montrell Washington. Washington has good numbers and I am looking forward to seeing him in action.

Wonder if Leake is still hurt. He did get nicked up in that match up vs the Bombers and missed the last few returns in that game.

Gregor said he was only riding the stationary today at practice and is probably not available. He did sound really excited about the speed of this new fellow.

At least we now have a Super Bowl ring on the roster

I doubt Washington will be on the active roster this early.
24POWELL, ShunDerrick has been fielding kicks and would be Leake's replacement. Gregor in a tweet said this guy is faaast. I know Opus has been very impressed with this guy from what he saw in training camp. Honestly I'm over Leake. No where as good as he was in Toronto. I'd like to see what this guy can do.

Think he was referring to ShunDerrick Powell who was in Leake's spot.

I'm still a big Leake fan as he average 5.8 yards per carry with 4 of 10+ and 2 of 20+ but was impressed with Powell's pre season, in the last game he had 6 carries for 37 yards.

I think the biggest problem with our return game is that we are using a lot of young players there.
