    1. Robustelli needs to stay on. Brings something that we need. Big physical REC who catches, turns shoulders and gets up field. Was impressed for his 1st game and will only get more comfortable and better.
    2. Powell provides more burst and energy than Leake. Again 1st game rookie and was a huge sparkplug. Got keep him in as see how he progresses.
    3. Out D is the real deal. Gets better week in and week out. Our secondary and LB unit are top tier.
    4. Killam and Fajardo reek of leadership. Both are the heartbeat of the team imho….
I agree with everything you said
1- Robustelli was a HUGE fan fav with riders fans , always a clutch receiver ,
2- Powell I thought was special in preseason and I’m super happy he got his chance , Leake can be traded or released to keep Powell on the roster
3- bank on this point exactly

If Fajardo can just clean up the bone headed turnovers, this team will be really special.

I’ve said it almost all year but something with our run blocking continues to be absolutely terrible. We run a lot of zone blocking concepts and there seems to be miscommunications all the time. When we pitch the ball and allow our backs to get to the edge or bring motion across the formation, we have a lot more success. We have a huge and nasty OL: you don’t need to zone blocking concept all the time. Fire off the LOS and move bodies.

41 Reid is a star. When Logan is healthy, I think I would Kordell to safety and replace Garnes. We can’t take Reid off the field.

The DL showed out in a major way. Adams was pressured pretty much all night and we started to get home a lot more in the second half.

Powell is a gritty, gritty dude. The pass blocks he made to free up Cody was awesome to see. Also, it takes a lot to bring him down in the run game or punt return game. I have no concerns over the punt return muffs - he’s a raw CFL rookie and that’s completely understandable. He’ll get back to practice and be working on that all week.

Certainly the 16-day layoff might have been a factor.

True. But they had a very similar game of two halves 16 days ago, so who knows?

Fajardo does make mistakes and leaves plays on the field… but watched lots a ball this weekend and all the QB’s have there warts and bad plays..

I’d say the clear cut tier 1 QBs are Alexander and Rouke.

I’d put Fajardo in the 2nd tier with Harris and Kelly.

Adams and Collaros in 3rd tier

rest of QBs are down the depth chart…

            My 3 Cents…

Abother thing is Hervey and Killam seem to make the right player personnel decisions….. letting guys walk in FA, moving on from players (Ford) or putting guys on the practice roster…. Hence I see Powell staying on field if her continues his play….

Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

This is the best team that we've had since the pandemic and great teams find ways to win despite adversity and we are seeing that now.

That said, I really hope that they can find a way to avoid the early game blunders. Basically, I want them to kick the **** out of opponent.

Other than dropping all those punts, which is a worry, this Powell looks like a damn weapon out there. His blocking was great too.

                    my thoughts on the game:
                    1. Football is such a rollercoaster of a ride, in the first half I was ready to rebuild the team and then flipped to a potential grey cup in the second half.
                    2. I was shocked we let Calgary have the ball after the half but it proved to be a good decision as our 4th quarter was the reason we won.
                    3. Powell is a keeper but can his body stand up to week after week of RB play, we shall see.
                    4. Fajardo is not flashy but when the chips are down he shows up.
                    5. Blanchard won't be with us to start next year, I could see him getting an NFL look
                    6. We need to really look at how we are running our short yardage as it seems to always be a struggle to get 1 yard.
                    7. Its nice to be on the other side of games like the one yesterday. In years past, we were the ones giving up a 14 point lead to lose.
                    8. Jackson has a nose for the ball, he gets his hands on a few balls every game it seems. His forced fumble changed the game.
                    9. Everyone says Calgary has the best Dline in the league but they only got 1 sack on us. Our Dline got 4 against VAJ
                    10. Dublanko's tackles look like they hurt A LOT.
Onto the next one, have to take care of business at home or stealing one in Calgary will be all for not

I'll cut him some slack.. first game and the conditions where not the best. His first two returns where nice... got a good chunk of positive yards... gets the ball and runs.. not like leake who stops and waits.....

I still have a massive dislike for our OC.... have since day 1., That won't change... I can stomach Cody.

                              Can some one confirm......

Cody wears a visor with what appears to be a slight red tint. .

In the forth they showed him on the side lines in the 4th hand in helmet and he didnt have a visor in. Interesting as that was our best offensive quarter

                                What a roller coaster.

Was calling for KJG's head over the past couple of weeks but I will eat crow on that one now. He was our best receiver in the first half until the other guys got going so good for him.

Really impressed with Powell. Was really surprised by his ability to protect the QB as he just seems too small to handle that but glad to be proven wrong. Was also surprised they gave him the ball near the goal line and he was actually able to get in. Again just appears too small to handle the rough going but I'm sure he's heard that before and enjoys shutting up the naysayers. He sure does have some great moves as a returner and I guess we will find out over the next few contests how good he can be as I believe JL has been 6 gamed. Wouldn't be surprised if he breaks one soon.

Jackson is a beast. Not sure if we win that game if not for that forced fumble.

Cody had a tough first half but the guy will do anything to win. He put his body on the line running for 78 yards like that. That's what I believe separates this guy from a lot of QBs in the league is that he will find a way to win. He leaves it all out on the field and the rest of the guys see that and believe in him and will run through a wall for him. Not sure he would want to do the job but he would probably make a great HC one day if he wanted to.
