Dont know the pkaybook so only they know who effed up
It was Mack that Cody was motioning toward after the first endzone pick.

Not sure about Cephus but Robustelli appears to be a keeper and another solid game for O'Leary Orange.

        Hard to digest that loss.

Defense was pretty good on most the plays, unfortunately the plays they weren't ended up as really big plays, but regardless holding them to 17 points should have been enough to win.

Special Teams generally positive exchanges of field position but if Blanchard doesn't miss that field goal, the team only needed to push for a field goal on that last drive is essence suggesting that the miss was the difference in the game. However, Blanchard has earned some grace.

Offense. Hard to complain when a team has 38 minutes of possession and well over 400 yards of offense, but way too many points left on the field on hope plays which is completely out of character for this offense. I feel good that this is very much like the BC loss where it was a good reminder that this is a team that wins if they don't turn the ball over. Multiple turnovers, though, you are in trouble.

Overall, I think Edmonton was the better team through 90% of that game, but made too many errors pushing the agenda and it cost them. Should provide a lot of great game film to prepare them for playoffs.

I'm not overly worried about the rest of the season after that game and the team is still 10-4 with two games vs. Hamilton on deck with a bye in the middle of the two games. Hamilton's elimination number is down to 1, so they'll be desperate on Saturday, but likely crumble if the Elks can get the lead by half time in the third.

I can easily. TOP, yards mean jack **** if you cant finish. and Cody had multiple brain farts. Instead of taking the safe play and extend the drive - he went for ill advised homerun shots with the WR covered. Hopefully he learns from that and does not do it again.

The point being they still generally played well and moved the ball while allowing the defense time to stay fresh to allow them to smother the Argo offense

However, I agree, it was them hanging onto the home run (I called them hope plays in my post) to finish drives off that ultimately killed them. That is correctable, and really just a flashback to the BC loss which was essentially the same issue. They applied the lessons from the BC loss well, so I'm expecting them to do the same here. I mean, even if they just kick field goals instead of throwing thoses two INTs, they had enough to win.

They did.... but we know they can play better...

Wonder if his ill advised tosses deep in the endzone was because he wanted to keep his TD toss streak going.... I hope not because that would be greedy and not a team first decision. That ended at 15 games.

Well if that was the case, which is possible, it's over now so it shouldn't impact future games this year.

Every player will on occasion try to keep a special streak going if at all possible. They are competitors and it's part of their nature to want to achieve, so I wouldn't stress about him trying to keep it going in a non-divisional matchup on the road after playoffs are already clinched. I've little doubt his overall goal is much higher than prolonging a TD completion streak, so let's just see how they rebound this week.

Best thing to do would be to run him out of town, plus be sure to hang his picture on the scape goat wall of shame alongside all the others who have gone before him .

little extreme no ? Where did I say we need to run him out of town or even remotely hinted at it. He had a bad game and some bad decisions I fully expect it to be corrected and a blip in the past. For the first time in years I have confidence in a QB who will correct whatever the issue is. Who knows maybe a loss will ground the team a little bit.

They in the playoffs now its a fight for a playoff home game - something we haven't seen in years.
