You simply cannot run the ball as much as you'd like in our offense when a gain of less than 3 yards means a punt most of the time and when your team is behind in games. Hey I want to see us run the ball more as well but if the running game is not working be prepared to get very very few 1st downs. Teams that pound the rock so to speak have good defences and get ahead in games.

Tell me what Ebell & Anderson's yard per carry avg'd out at?

Now couple that with our offensive philosophy over the last few years that a 3 yard pass is as good as a 3 yard run.....can you see where I'm going?

Football isn't a game of one series and one set of downs....it is about a 60 minute master plan. Those 3 yard runs in the first quarter turn into 12 yard runs in the fourth. All the while keeping your D fresh, your QB off the turf, and your receivers with more space to run their routes.

That's where the smart money would be going. Remains to be seen if Maas is here stictly as a coach ( which I think should be the case) or if he comes here as a 'Reggie Dunlop'

Not on this team they don't!! Whether it was the 'quality' of the OL or the scheme they were running, the Eskimo running attack was the most dismal I have seen in all my years as a fan. I truly believe that is why they ran the ball as little as they did. It is going to be an interesting offseason waiting to see who the new assistants will be...

To me it was never about what I accomplished on the football field, it was about the way I played the game.

I don't quite buy that. I heard BJC address the offense on day one of camp boldly saying that this was a throw first offence where we would run the ball 1 out of 10 snaps. That philosophy was evident at many times this season.

Running the ball effectively is like chopping down a tree. Success is not measured after the first two swings of the axe.

              exactly

Mike Pringle would have been a pretty crappy runningback if that wasn't true.

Heck......he might have even been cut at his first CFL camp...

Continually?!?! I have only heard this story mentioned twice...that hardly constitutes continually!!! Your last statement basically questions whether those events actually happened! I don't suppose you have any proof that it did not happen? Why don't you just call Maciocia a liar?? Totally gutless!!

I don't suppose that you have any proof of that either?? Considering that almost everything that we have heard up to this point contradicts that position, I do not know how you could come to that conclusion. But hey!! Apparently the stories about what his daughter went through did not happen either!!

                      So.....it's Pronger's wife's fault that he left.
                      And it's DM's wife's fault that he's staying?

                      There's some irony.
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

That's because DM's wife doesn't have to worry about a certain reporter and DM.....never mind
