Can't wait until we get an injury in the secondary or at rb and then call if 'bad luck' when we seem to have totally ignored depth for those two positions since before the season started. 15 players slotted into dline and lb's and paper thin elsewhere.

Would have been cool if they could have kept the roving camera from the FIFA games. I wonder if the Esks budget would allow for that to be installed at some point? It made for some real cool shots from above, and zoom-ins following the action.

Yep.... *shudder*........... Jones and Batiste have certainly NOT impressed me. We are gonna have a long night if they bring consistent pressure from that side and we (once again) ignore establishing a run game to offset the blitz. I don't have much confidence in our offensive coach to mount much of an effective game plan. Even last year his schemes/strategies really weren't what they should have been.Originally posted by OK14 View PostThat O-line...

a healthy defence should make for an improved performance on that side of the ball. Foster back at SAM, allowing Hinds to move back to safety and getting Young back at HB should make a BIG difference."Because this Eskimo experience is not made for just anyone" - KP

Agree; the only problem is that those cameras are actually paid for by the network airing the game, and not by the team/stadium itself, so it's up to TSN if they want to use it or not.Originally posted by nafnikufesin View PostWould have been cool if they could've kept the roving camera from the FIFA games. Not only that, but I'm not sure that TSN has the budget for a full-time camera. They had to rent one from NBC during the west semi against the riders last year in November.Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

No ads on the field!
I can't tell if the midfield "C" is still a different font than the rest of the numbers.

Liking the fact that the banners in the endzone aren't multicolored! Is that new this year, or was it like that last year?

IIRC DMC and Foster could play secondary in a pinch .. as for running back... well... ya...Originally posted by Beerfish View PostCan't wait until we get an injury in the secondary or at rb and then call if 'bad luck' when we seem to have totally ignored depth for those two positions since before the season started. 15 players slotted into dline and lb's and paper thin elsewhere.

Long-time Eskimos locker room attendant and 2015 Alberta Sports Hall of Fame inductee Joey Moss will fulfil a dream when he sings the national anthem to open the game.
Can't think of a better way to kick off the home opener than the anthem sung by someone that bleeds Edmonton sports teams. In Rod we trust

You are right... and we also have Belue and Reynolds that are learning the game but made the team. For in-game solutions, Duby moves to field corner and they shuffle Ojo inside, or Hinds moves to SAM and Foster moves to DB.Originally posted by Esks4ever View PostIIRC DMC and Foster could play secondary in a pinch .. as for running back... well... ya...
As for runningback, we've got Shakir Bell, who impressed many of us in pre-season, and Kendial Lawrence, who is a known commodity.
Is that significantly less depth than most teams carry at these positions? The contact with the OL and DL would seem to be more likely to cause injury (guessing - have no numbers to back it up), and perhaps that's the mindset/gamble that the team is taking that way.Life is Good.
