Boy oh boy, did it EVER carry on!Originally posted by OK14 View PostFinally stabilizing a bit after hiring Woodcroft. Let's hope this carries on and isn't just a new-coach bump.
Clinched home ice in the playoffs, 2nd place in the division, and with the win over Pittsburgh, we've now matched our single-season wins record from 16-17, with the opportunity to improve to as good as 49-27-6 if we win our last two regular season games.
Considering how low the team was at the time of Tippett's firing...what Woodcroft has done is nothing short of miraculous.Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

The Oilers under Woodcroft in 2022 have a record of 24-9-3, which is outstanding. If he can keep that momentum going in the playoffs, I think we may be poised as the team to beat in our division (sorry, Calgary), and at very least not automatically dismissed out of hand in the conference. Will be interesting to see them shift those gears to playoff hockey next week.#PizStrong

I expect the Oilers to beat LA. They finally have some up front depth and seeing 29 and 97 on different lines in the playoffs will be nice...
If we lose I fully expect it to be from getting bored to death by LA and Mike Smith letting in weak goals at the worst time like he did last year.Quote from Inquiring Mind:
Of course stamphater is sacred... we all worship the ground he walks on.

While true, they've only played 2 game sevens since then, both on the road. Overall 6-4. At home 3-1.Originally posted by OK14 View PostOne of the biggest Game 7's in franchise history coming up on Saturday. To my knowledge, the Oilers haven't won a Game 7 since I was 4 years old (1997-98). Let's hope that changes this weekend.
