I know this is mainly a football board...but I cannot believe how quiet this thread is.
The Oilers are off to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006. After winning Game 1, Calgary choked in 4 straight. Biggest sports win for the city of Edmonton since the 2015 Grey Cup IMO.Last edited by OK14; 05-27-2022, 12:23 AM.Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

Twitter is pretty packed with forensic experts for and against that "distinct kicking motion". When they're done with that maybe they'll post more in here.
I"m hoping Carolina comes out of the East and we make it to the big Dance. We owe them some revenge...#PizStrong

Can't really be too disappointed. Would have been nice to take it further, but Colorado was a better team. McDavid and Drai were legendary, Hyman was a goal-per-game player past the 2nd round (hence why the Leafs didn't know what they had), Kane scored some big goals. The back end still needs to be addressed, both G and D, if we're going to take it the next step. Kane will be difficult to re-sign with our cap situation. Nurse is getting paid like an elite #1 D when he's an average first pairing, so we need to find a bargain elite #1 (can Bouchard take the next step)? Hopefully Smith retires so we don't go into the season running Smith and Skinner. Don't mind Skinner as the back-up, but if Smith is still here, we're wasting another year of McDrai when we should be full out Cup favorites. Same for Keith; his play wasn't bad as I expected this year, but he's not even close to worth his contract, those dollars could be spent better elsewhere. Hopefully some of the young guys take a step up, we need those bargain contracts.
