2015 Edmonton Rush thread

Tonight the Rush opened their tenth season with a 9-8 loss to the Buffalo Bandits. They got off to a 3-1 lead but let Buffalo take over trailing twice by 5 goals. One bright spot is this years draft pick Ben Mcintosh scored a natural hat trick and looks to have a bright future with the team. The players wore the initials WK on their helmets in honour of coach Derek Keenan's wife Wendy who lost her battle with cancer yesterday. Coach Keenan has already said he was taking a leave of absence from the team. My thoughts go out to the Keenan family.

Glad to see TSN has filled some of their hockey void with some NLL games! Watching the Rush/Roughnecks game and Edmonton has an 8-3 lead in the second, keep it up guys!

The guys welcomed coach Keenan back behind the bench tonight in a hard fought, emotional 16-8 win to go 1-2 on the season. Lots of hits and a couple of fights in an entertaining tilt in Calgary!

Another big win for the Rush Friday night. 18-9 win over the New England Black Wolves. Keenan coming back sure has improved the team. Now 2-2 on the season.

Are the cheapest tickets for the Rush really $48.75? That's all I could find on their site.
IMO, that's crazy. I know they're good now and prices do go up but wow. Didn't think it was THAT much!

Too bad the Rush gave up on TV deals, they're finally decent and people might actually watch now. Would be nice if they could have found a way to piggyback the Roughnecks TSN deal

I will find a link but most of the Rush away games will be televised this season. Also at sobeys or safeway you can buy lower bowl seats for $35.

Wasn't able to watch either game this weekend, but I do know the Rush swept their home and home against Colorado this weekend to step into first place in the west! Great turnaround after starting 0-2 to the 4-2 they are now! One beautiful sidenote as well is that Calgary is off to a lovely 0-6 start to sit dead last in the league!

I honestly can't believe Calgary is dead last in the NLL, this is a team that hasn't missed the playoffs since 2002!

Any time a calgary team is sitting dead last in any sport, it's a beautiful thing!!
