Life has a way of interrupting a sports fan desire to watch every second of every minute of every game.

Luckily, we live in a world where whether it is in the middle of the game or the morning after, finding out the score in the game is pretty simple. Whether it be turning on the radio, firing up the computer, or flipping to the sports page in the newspaper, the answer to "who won the game" is easy to attain.

That's when the magic moment happens where nothing else matters but the answer to the question, did "my team" win or lose? While waiting for the radio announcer to say the score or the internet to download the webpage, the only thought going through a person's mind is, did "my team" win or lose?

No thoughts of who the suits are running the football club, no thoughts of players come and gone, only thought - - did "my team" win or lose?

The nervous anticipation of those seconds could feel like hours but simply stated, are the purist thoughts any fan has toward their favorite team.

The reason "my team" always appears in quotes, in today's CFL with so much changeover in the rosters, "fan ownership" needs some time to build.

Whether you are a fan going into this season with positive or negative feelings toward your team, mark my words, all of us will share that moment at some point this season, where the only thing that matters for a few precious seconds is, "did my team win or lose".
