    Eff you CRTC!!!!

    Yesterday I posted about how Movies, tv shows etc would be able to be d/led via 360's marketspace ?


    Well ... not in CANADA , thanks to the loveable CRTC.



    if its anything like Satalite Radio they'll want 25% canadian content and it'll take 2 years for it to happen.

      "Canadian content" is such BS. Its the only reason the CBC stays afloat.

        Reading the xbox forums, there's one guy who says he emailed CRTC, and they replied.. ( quoteed it all in his post ) and CRTC said they have no control on Internet material... so it'd rule out the CRTC - maybe .. there's a audio interview that is suppose to explain why its US only..


        So I wonder if MS, released this in the US only to test it out - before releasing it world wide..


        And IMO they've failed right now.

        What i get from reading forums is :

        D/ls take too long - longer than usual ( HD movie is about 5 gigls and after 6hrs people are only at 1 % )
        you pay yer money, start the d/l only to have it error on you , and you lose your points
        mislabeling of content
        SLOW


        It seems to me , that MS dropped the ball on this and didn't plan so well for bandwidth use. Everyone in the US is prolly trying to get a movie , so its lsow.... at least MS will have a chance to improve it before it goes worldwide...

          I'm guessing it might also be legal issues they want to have ironed out that are delaying the release up here.
          I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

            well with all the F ups being reported on the forums.. I'd be happy to wait till they get it all worked out...


            then again it seems people go on forums to complain.. so for every complaint in the forums there is prolly 10 people who are happy with it...

                Its not th4 CRTC... but stilll Eff you CRTC


                It has to do with well alot of paperwork, with distrubution rights in Canada


                example... Access has rights to WB content. WB shows Smallville on Thursday , Access shows that same episode on the following monday... now if had the full marketplace we'd able to d/l that same episode on Friday - before its suppose to be viewed in Canada - and there is the prob...
