Re: Steady Eddie, new Premier!
I haven't been this happy about an election since my last one.
I started to be a believer in Stelmach a few months ago on the recommendation of a business associate of mine who, besides having a huge "in" with the Eskimos and feeds me great info, was one of Ed's campaign workers. I wanted a nice, honest guy and preferable one from...well, not from Calgary. Ed will be great.

Re: Steady Eddie, new Premier!
I am very happy that Stelmach won.
After following the candidates more and more, Stelmach easily became the one I wanted to take the leadership.
Morton really got under my skin. There was an interview he did after the first vote that ticked me off, and I realised what a cocky jerk he was (thats just my opinion, of course).
If Stelmach hadn't taken it, I definitely would have preferred Dinning over Morton.

Re: Steady Eddie, new Premier!
People might complain "Ed Who"???
But, IMO, that is who we need. This guy is unassuming and doesn't seem to have the air that it is "my right to rule". I think he'll guide the party and will be more open to change and collaboration rather than ruling with an iron fist.
Don't forget that Ed's been a Minister of 4 different ministries...he has a lot of experience that should serve him well.
Plus, it's not the "Calgary old-boys" club. I think we needed to shed that image.

Well La-Di-Da, aren't you special...Originally posted by MoneyGuyMy wife was asking me today why I supported Stelmach and I listed his attributes as I saw them: straight shooter, honest, forthright, hard worker, ordinary guy that ordinary folks can relate to.
what she said: "Sounds like you."
