I gather she didn't think her proposal would come at a baseball game.....

I don't know if this tops what you posted, but I'll try.......from today's headlines:

Pet camel kills Australian woman while apparently trying to have sex

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) - An Australian woman was killed by a pet camel given to her as a 60th birthday present after the animal apparently tried to have sex, police said Sunday.

The woman, whose name was not released, was killed Saturday at her family's sheep and cattle ranch near Mitchell, 600 kilometres west of the Queensland state capital Brisbane, state police Detective Senior Constable Craig Gregory said.

The 10-month-old male camel - weighing about 150 kilograms - knocked the woman to the ground, lay on top of her, then exhibited what police suspect was mating behaviour, Gregory said.

"I'd say it's probably been playing, or it may be even a sexual sort of thing," Gregory said, adding the camel almost suffocated the family's pet goat by straddling it on several occasions.

Camel expert Chris Hill said he had no doubt the camel's behaviour was sexual.

Hill, who has offered camel rides to tourists for 20 years, said young camels are not aggressive, but can be dangerous if treated as pets without discipline.

The fate of the camel was not known.

The woman was given the camel in March as a birthday present from her husband and daughter. "She had a love of exotic pets," Gregory said.

    I love this line:
"She had a love of exotic pets,"
No kiddin'.......it seems the love was mutual....

Aw man, poor guy!!! I wonder why she got so upset. I hope it wasn't just because of how/where he proposed.

My wife, when we were only dating, made it abundantly clear to me that she'd kill me if I ever proposed "on a jumbo tron".

Just because I was into sports and thought it would be cool did NOT mean she'd feel the same way.

          And, I see her point.

I really couldn't give a poo-poo where/how Justin proposes. He's asked me a few questions about it; if I want it public or private, if I want it to be in front of my parents, etc.
I told him to do it however he wants to do it, the only thing I ask is that its a complete surprise. lol

Sure, this may not have been a girl's 'dream' way to do it, but seriously, this guy obviously went through a lot of work to arrange this, spent a lot of money, COMPLETELY put himself out there; if that is what Justin did, I'd appreciate it and not flip out.

Me too. Being the worlds most unromantic man, I proposed to my wife in our hotel room in Calgary. Nine months later...

Moral of the story. Do not propose at a ball game and if you want to get your fiancee pregnant, stay at the Westin

Noted: Do NOT stay at the Westin. lol

To me, its his 'big moment' too, especially because of the type of person Justin is. So if however he picks is what he came up with, then obviously thats how he wanted it to go. If he's happy, I'm happy.

Hell... for our anniversary a couple weeks ago, we went to West Ed after work because I wanted to play mini-golf. While I went off to buy something, he booked a room at Fantasyland Hotel. The room was ugly as hell, but I was so excited about the surprise that I didn't really care. lol

I can definitely understand someone not wanting to be proposed to on a jumbotron. I guess I'm just the type that appreciates the effort more than the result.

Mrs. DDS always told me that if I ever did that she'd say no. That is not how she wanted it to go down. LOL!

Dude deserves to be dumped for proposing on the jumbotron. How hard is it to go back to the place where you first met. Or first kissed. Or have a romantic dinner under the stars? You can make a public spectacle of yourselves during the wedding reception (actually this is appreciated and sorta required). Make the proposal something the wife-to-be can make her friend jealous with.

hahah Well then for us, Justin might as well do it on the damn jumbotron... aka EE TV, because we met at an Eskimos game.

It's (slightly) different if you are both sports nut who met because of sports and dated at sporting events and are planning your children so they don't interfere with major sporting events. You could justify a jumbotron wedding proposal to me in that case. Its still not something I would do.

Men everywhere dream about women like you.

This night, however, the woman looked surprised, then mad at the sight of the ring, either spilled her popcorn or dumped it on the gentleman's head and left amid a chorus of boos.
That shouldn't be funny, the poor guy; but that's exactly what makes it so hilarious.

I'd love to see one day a jumbo-tron shot of an engaged couple where the guy get's down on one knee and pops the question to his girlfriend:

Will you let me go to Grey Cup?
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood
