Debate Topic: End of the World

Things are slowing down, and I watched this documentary on National Geographic about the Apocalypse, so it got me thinking. And I was wondering about what people here might think.

Do you believe in a religious Armaggedon/Rapture type thing, and will it be relatively soon or a long time down the road? Atomic War? Global Warming? Humans become extinct and give way to new species? Sun expands and destroys Earth millions of years from now? Random Meteor?

Well, it's the end of the world as we know it. And I feel fine.

    - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
    - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
    - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."

Obviously the sun will overtake the Earth when it's in it's last phases before death. That is 100% certain to happen.

But the Rapture will happen much sooner.

Hey, it's only like 4 billion years away!

edit: Or apparently 5,000 million years...whatever...either way who knows what the human population will be like then.

So easy to answer this question. Just look at the Rapture Index. It's at 159! And inflation's pushing it up! egads!

Already did happen - in Sask!

It'll happen on April 19, 2137. This is notable because it was only the previous year that the Riders won their fifth Grey Cup. Meteor hits Saskatchewan, about 173 km northeast of Regina. There will be no major loss of life. Well, there will be some cows, a lot of gophers, many chickens and a couple of farmers.

Don't ask me how I know this. Just trust.

2012 or so I saw on some discovery channel show a short while ago.

Meteor strike sounds about right, or some rogue nuclear bomb that sets things off.

Won't worry about what I have zero control over.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Soon?? It already happened on November 25, 2007. That was the end of the world as I know it.

                        I keed I keed....

Okay seriously, here is a better question. When life on Earth does end, what is left out there? Nothing? For all of eternity, never knowing life again? I don't buy it. There is something more here that we are missing.

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

I notice you didn't say the sheep field...so are we to assume that E4L will survive then?

It's called God....even if you don't believe it, it's a good enough answer so you don't have to trouble yourself worrying about it.
