As Ive said before the legal system has morphed into a lawyer and a prosecutor deciding on justice in a board room over a cup of Tim hortons and some tim bits rather than the process of a judge or jury trial.
I can't figure out whether prosecutors are plain lazy or deathly afraid of losing slam dunk cases. I et more offended each time I hear of a case where the prosecutuon has the accused nailed cold on multiple harges and yet agrees to a soft plea deal.
Plea deals should be very rare and yet they are the standard. It's not right.
