I am impressed...

...by the level of knowledge of the vast majority of posters on this site. Even though I had to wade through ~500 posts when I got home from class this evening, most of them (for the most part) were (a) informative and (b) non-homeristic.


Indeed, with the exception of maybe a handful of posters -- and not all the time (and I am one of them) -- we seem to have a fairly objective group here. Anyone else agree/disagree?

I agree wholeheartedly, Muley. I'm very impressed with the progress of the site in these past few months, especially considering that it's the offseason.

And I'm also pleased by the quality of the posts and the posters that we have on here. This board is definitely shaping up according to our original expectations!

What amazes me about this site is there is alot of mutual respect between posters-even when they have differing viewpoints. I'm sure that trend will continue because of the leadership shown here by Frito's Fan, Angelus, and the rest of the regulars here.

I lurked here for months before registering.. the quality and depth of knowledge on this site was the reason I registered here, and why I never go to the forum on esks.com. It's a great site, and we have some strong personalities here to make sure it stays that way!!

For me, I always lurk to get the "feel" of a place. Don't want to waste my time registering to end up ditching the site after a few minutes of realizing what a joke it is. Secondly, I like to see what kinds of topics come up ALL the time, so I don't leap in and say "hey, what do you guys think about that 3rd down gamble Ned did in the WSF??".

In my case...... well I guess I cut my teeth, so to speak posting at riderfans almost exclusively.... then I just got so sick and tired of the BS from a few of its inhabitants, I decided to find a new home.

I guess I settled on esksfans because its smaller and yet has a good number of quality posters so you don't need to wade through endless amounts of crap to find interesting points of view. I also somewhat wanted to get a feel for the place, and wasn't sure whether my opinions would be welcomed here or not initially.
