Watching the news right now and they just had a story about a high risk offender just being released and living in Edmonton. He just finished a 9 year sentence for dragging a 7 year old girl into the woods, sexually assaulting her, hitting her in the head with a rock, and leaving her for dead. How that is just a 9 year sentence is absolutely beyond. Absolutely disgusting.
Part of this guy's parole documents mentions that while on parole, he would walk through parks with teddy bears. The second he was found doing that, he should have been put back in jail for good.
Why do guys like this get a second chance? Why do they have ANY rights?
