    Goin' to the Dogs

A place for pups and their people.

My boy is Arrow (anyone know The Point and you'll know where he got his name ) and he's a black dog. That's what I say when people ask what kind he is. "He's a Black Dog."

In truth he's a Black Sheppard/Border Collie. He loves to work (takes napkins/placemats from table and puts in drawer; carries garbage/recycling and places in bins; brings watering can in from garden; etc, etc). He's a ATD and ACD (All Terrain Dog/All Conditions Dog). And, if I do say so myself, he looks pretty damn cool in the back of a GTO convertible!
    Turf Toe:
    - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
    - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
    - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."

Good thread, you big blue beast!

This is Chico, who is now curently 9 pounds of gnashing teeth & furry death. Much like the "Holy Grail's" rabbit, you don't need to see him kill - just LOOK AT THE BONES!!!
In his spare time, he enjoys mauling stuffed toys, meat, belly-scratching, and attracting cute single chicks for his owner during walks.
For more information on this animal, contact "Hinderland's Who's Who", at Station B, Parks & Wildlife, Ottawa.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses - Elwood Blues

My ex and I had two dogs, but with the split we have decided to each take custody of one of them. I have Simon - the big, black one. He will be 12 in June and is a GREAT BIG teddy bear. He loves long walks, fine dining and cuddling. He has a big intimidating bark - but he is the nicest, most gentle dog ever.

The little brown one is Bandit...she is a hyper little thing. She is also very cuddly but I think she has ADD... She is very clever and can get into everything she can and find ways to get out of anywhere she shouldn't. She is a good dog though, and I miss her...

            Great thread TT...

              Re: Goin' to the Dogs

Growing up on a cattle ranch, we had all sorts of dogs over the years. My first favorite was Sandy a border collie who was the best cattle dog we ever had. When working with the animals, he would instictively know where to herd them. When he passed on we got Tex, a Norweigian Elkhound who became my all time fav. Good cattle dog, even tempered, great with kids, and a babe magnet. Had him for 14 years and it was a sad day when we lost him. I'd love another but when you do from a 40acre yard to a city lot, I can't justify having a dog that needs space, cooped up in the city.

Best thing about Tex was from a pup when I would rub his tummy I would make a "grrr" noise and as Tex got older to the day he passed, whenever you'd give him a tummy rub, he would make the same grunting "grrrr" that I did to him as a pup. It was pretty cool.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Does the dog ever leave the chair?? You sure she's not unemployed?
Glad to see others here have some small dogs. I'm like Diez, I grew up on a farm with bigger dogs, but I think its harder on a big dog if it doesn't have lotsa room to run around, hence, my purchase of the 9 pound ball of death early on. Good pics by all...

Lady is my inlaws dog and Blacky is my dog. Both girls. Blacky is old though. I think she just turned 13 in February.

Chica. She looks humiliated in picture 2...like she should with that ridiculous bow.

edit: sorry if the pics are too big.
