    Music Downloading

    Hey all.

Now that Limewire (and before any one makes a comment about me using limewire, I personally never had a problem) is shut down, does any one have a good free music site. I am cheap and do not want to pay for the music I down load.

The quality isn't always perfect, but you can rip the music from YouTube music videos and turn them into mp3s. I can't remember the two sites I've used off the top of my head, but just google YouTube videos into mp3s.

Torrents are the way to go. If you can snag an invite, Demonoid is the best torrent site out there, with no bogus files or viruses, and most albums are available well before they are actually released (not to mention movies, books, software, etc)

Honestly, mate, if you want free music ripped, get a library card. Take out CDs, rip them, return them. Borrow video games, play the, return them. Your taxes pay for it.

And if they actually had some of the more interesting and rare things then it really would be worth it. Thing is, I'm not into Celine Dion, Nickelback etc.

No need for an invite. Demonoid is a great site, but you can find pretty much anything through isohunt.

                        www.isohunt.com

It's a bittorrent search engine. Just search for what you want to download and it will come up. Make sure you have a torrent client installed first (I recommend uTorrent), make sure you know how the technology works and you are off and running.

I use iTunes. Honestly, it's $1 a song...and if you're too cheap to pay $1 per song, you deserve the viruses, malware and ****ty mp3 files you get through other programs.

Ditto on the QFT...but there are some songs that you just can't get from iTunes.
If I had any idea wtf a Torent was I'd try it, but for now it looks like I'm hooped for downloading.
