anyone else been watching this?

I'm no fan of the whole Idol thing, but this is a different kettle of fish entirely...

There is some decent talent competing to be the next lead singer of INXS, lot's of good rock tunes throughout -

i havent seen it because i assumed it was like Idol, but a few people have said it's pretty good, so i might catch an episode, when is it on?

I've watched a few episodes. Pretty interesting stuff although some of the competitors made me cringe so badly I had to change the channel.

I have watched a couple times, not bad, much better than idol, some of these people can actually friggin sing and have some professional chops.

I have been following this since it started, I guess because somewhere I wish I could be a rockstar, but first you need to be able to sing..lol. Anyways it is nice to see good old rock and roll featured on TV, and you got to love INXS. There some extremely talented people on this show, and I cant wait to see who is going to win this contest and end up recording and touring with INXS.

like I said: it is not an Idol type show.

Think of it more like sitting in on auditions for someone to replace Stephen Hutchings (sp).

The band places sheet music to songs on a board, the contestants must agree amongst themselves on which songs they will be doing (there are a bunch of Canadians in this as well)...they have about five days to practice with the house band and get the song to a point they are ready to perform. On Tuesday, the perform in front of the band (INXS) and a live audience.

The contest is then open on MSN for voting and the bottom three face elimination on Wednesday where the band makes them perform an INXS tune on the spot. Last night, instead of the norm where they only eliminated one contestant, the band decided two just didn't fit what they were looking for and eliminated two.

The show is hosted by Dave Nevarro and Brooke Burke.

I've watched the first 10mins of the show.. Perhaps i'd like it more if i cared about INXS
