Offseaon tension/boredom/bickering/etc
Folks, I feel it's time to take a moment or two to comment on an underlying issue that have been rearing it's ugly head during this seemingly never ending offseason. We've noticed an increase of squables, tension, and bickering as a whole accross the site lately and it has not led to the betterment of the site. While healthy debate and agreeing to disagree are at the backbone of what makes this forum what it truly is, I think we ALL need to take a step back, take a collective deep breath and tone back some of the nastiness that has been creeping up.
As a group, us mods don't like to rule with an iron fist and we feel that most times you all can police yourselves, mend your own fences, and so forth. It appears lately that those types of things are being neglected so it's my own personal request that we re-evaluate our own conduct in how we treat our fellow eskimo fans ( fans of other teams are still fair game
)
I know that as a group, there are very few that can hold a candle to the collective passion of eskimo fans, as it's that passion that leads us to leading the league in attendance year after year, and it causes us to proudly wear the badge of the best damn football organization this country has ever seen and to be envied/despised because of it. It's that same passion that sometimes leads to heads knocking and hurt feelings amongst ourselves , but let's harness that passion and direct it where it truly needs to go, and that's towards Threshing the Wheaties, Dismantling the Bombers, Stomping the Stamps back to the glue factory, having the Kitties Spayed or Neutored, and dealing with the east come playoff time.
