    Burris' resume

It sure sounded like Burris was submitting a verbal resume to everybody in Calgary so he could stay in Calgary. He rambled on about how he enjoys Cowgary, unfinished business, wants to win a championship for the city etc... blah, blah, blah.

It came across as a desperate attempt at keeping a job.

It sounded very familiar to this Rider fan.

I believe the exact words you may be looking for included "destiny"

The following teams would probably welcome him except that.....

He doesn't commit enough criminal acts to play for the Riders.
Has not been busted enough times for possession of an illegal drug to play in Toronto.
Hasn't beaten up his wife enough times to play in Winnipeg.
Hasn't assaulted enough cops to play in Montreal (refer to this morning's headlines).
Doesn't smoke enough weed to live in BC.
Was never involved in any shady trades, so Hamilton wouldn't want him.
Likes playing football, but Ottawa can't keep a team, so he won't move there....

        And last but not least....

He's not good enough to play for the Esks....

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

I tell you guys, I have been saying all along that I don't feel he is even a back-up quality QB.

I was so worried when he was a free-agent, as I was worried the Esks would go after him. I am glad they didn't even sniff at him.

He is terrible and a choke case. When he's on, he definitely looks like a starter. But you never know which QB you're going to get. And it seems that this starter-ability is never seen in the playoffs.

He makes poor decisions for a 31 year-old QB. He can't handle pressure.

Talk about overpaying for a subpar QB. He gets around 400k a year like Ricky but unlike Ray he doesn't earn it.

Faith??? This better not be turning into a religious thread.....

Even though we had a rough season I'm still thinking we will be a hell of a lot better next year.
