    He's pretty good. Stuck behind some of the best when he was in Miami, but that's a good pickup for the Al's.....

      from what ive read, the Als are looking for a speedy guy to pair with Edwards - is Payton supposed to be that speed guy?

      at 6'0" 220lbs, my guess is no - here's NFL scouts opinions: Jarrett Payton

      looks more like trying to replace Edwards, which could be tough

        as a big fan of Walter Payton, I was hoping that Jarrett would make it in the NFL...and IMO, he is suited to the NFL more than the CFL.

            Sometimes timed speed is different from playing speed. He obviously shows that he has natural speed (4.43 indoors) so maybe he can use that on the football feild.

              im not saying he's turtle-slow, but with his size, he's not gonna be the speed back like a Roberts/Avery/Goldie type. And I think that was what Popp talked about wanting as the match for a powerback like Edwards or what Payton would likely be
