Re: Supplimental Draft
well we picked up Lee June.12th of last year.
That said: Andre Durie I believe has already been picked up by Toronto as a supplimental draft pick. So I don't think there is a formal timeline, I think it is more like a free for all with waiver order......Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Re: Supplimental Draft
Who is Jermaine Lee?

Re: Supplimental Draft
a number of non-drafted players have now been signed as FA's (ie Durie) but there has been no "supplemental draft" as such involving players that were not actually available on draft day
as a note, Esks have almost kept more non-drafted players than draft picks in the last couple years - Bradley and Winks both. I think Winks has the potential to be another ST demon in the mold of Maurer and Bradley. Perhaps we will hear some of these in the near future to boost our NI contentLast edited by SandManFan; 05-15-2007, 11:14 AM."Because this Eskimo experience is not made for just anyone" - KP

Re: Supplimental Draft
if they're all we have... and although I'm not a huge fan of O-players covering kicks, if they can do it as well as any LB or DB, who cares where these ST guys are officially listed on the roster. I've never heard of any positional limits other than the 3 QB's...
in the same breath I will agree with the need to NI depth elsewhere to play from scrimmage, not just ST."Because this Eskimo experience is not made for just anyone" - KP

Re: Supplimental Draft
But look at how it limits you. Botterill right now is our only NI LB who is a ST'er. If we have two NI's go down in the same game at certain spots ( the only area we're safe is at safety and fullback because we have direct NI replacements who can play) then we are forced to take out another import to play a NI. So if an Olineman get's hurt we either have to take Roundtree out, our starting tailback out or play an additional NI receiver. Same if something happens to Braidwood, we have nothing but a raw rookie draft pick who hasn't proven anything yet who would be forced in to play, or we take Roundtree out, or play another NI receiver, thus losing another starter. We have the majority of our NI players in three spots, OL, RB, and FB.
We lost three NI Dlinemen so far this offseason and have replaced them with 1 unproven draft pick. Makes the drafting of Kean at #2 even more daft.I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood
