Sigh. This is a sad joke.

I don't care what planet you are from, the "phantom forward pass interference call that nullified the Montreal INT" midway through the 3rd quarter was about as bad as you get.

The ref was waving "incomplete pass" and DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE MONTREAL DEFENDER (behind him) MAKE THE CATCH?

That was the worst call that I have ever seen by a professional sports referee in any league.

It's quickly becoming a non-professional sport. That was insane. And if the CFL defends it, the entire league risks becoming a joke.

I try to give the refs the benefit of the doubt, but that was an unbelievable call. Has to be one of the worst calls ever! If this were the NBA, you know what we'd all be accusing that guy of...

What a joke of a call.
That ref shouldn't work another game this year, but knowing the CFL they will justify his incompetence and have him work another game to try to screw over some other team with his lack of knowledge of the RULES of the game.

Thankfully it didn't affect the outcome of the game... this time...

What ever happened to picking up the flag because the ball was not catchable? The next bad call was the interference by Cox on the 5 yard line for a ball that Damon simply heaved into the end zone.

Or last week, Tom Canada jumps offside, the tackle is forced to hold him to protect the QB, and Montreal ends up losing a net 5 yards on the play after the penalties! Blow it dead once the DL encroaches or makes contact just to prevent the non-offending team from taking a penalty because the other team was cheating by being off-side.

How is it the Argo defensive players can take off their helmets (Fletcher) and whine to the officials? Isn't that a penalty?

Is Mike O'Shea a lawyer? The play is ready to start and he's still on the field arguing the rough play penalty he took.

I almost think the officials are overwhelmed by not only by the poor plays (penalties) but also how much crap goes on away from the play.

Stop the taunting and whining by throwing flags.

Ditch the coaches ability to challenge - it's a waste of time. Leave it up to the video review official to intervene if he thinks it is warranted.

Can you believe that BS call? ... just man up and admit you didn't see the guy behind the play who caught the INT, and award the Als the ball... sure they'd still be pissed off because they could have potentially ran it back as a TD, but at least they wouldn't be as made as they were when you MATERIALIZED A INEXISTENT PENALTY... Popp was losing it... I would have been too.

Why do they even have video replay? Has a single call been overturned yet this season? They all protect themselves by saying "there is no visual evidence to overturn the call"...which is crap. They shouldn't be allowed to say that. They shoudl have to make a decision on what actually happened.
