    Kudos to the Bomber Organization

Have to say that I was really impressed with the ceremony they gave Milt Stegall. In particular, the framed photo / painting with receiving gloves and a plaque commemorating every CFL touchdown up until he broke the record was EXTREMELY classy.

But...why oh why did they give him a Dodge Caravan?!?!

And, it was ALSO nice of the bummers to beat T.O. for us...

Maybe they thought his first name was MILF instead of Milt.
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

Well he is old and lugging around a family so the van fits. If he were 30, single, etc he probably would have got a truck or some kind of sports car.

Still could have got him a sport utility, danm tree huggers were probably against that though.

Wonder if he gets it or if it's just a lease. If he owns it then I'm sure he could sell it and get something a hell of a lot better.

The Bombers seem to be an organization doinga lot of things right. Their fans deserve that new stadium as well.

I thought I had read somewhere that Milt had requested a minivan.

                    I heard the same thing.

The guy is so good it's ridiculous. Yet another clutch performance last night against TO.

So what do they do when he retires now? They've already blown the wad with the vehicle, armchair, and street re-naming.

The Bombers probally couldn't afford a truck ,SUV, or a decent car anyway.

Well that was brainless...The Bombers are one of a very few teams who actually MAKE money year in, and year out.

Anyway, as stated, Milt CHOSE the minivan...

Ok, I'll bite. If that's true, why were they up to 3 million in debt in 2002, and then demanded the $700,000 in blood money (supposedly for extra travel, yet the Alouettes travelled more than Winnipeg did after the re-scheduling, and got squat) when they transferred to the East Conference after the murder of the Renegades?

Hrm. So let's unpack that statement shall we? In a league of 8 teams, what would qualify as "very few?" Personally, I would suggest two. But let's give you the benefit of the doubt and go with three. So we have the Bombers. Then we have:

the Esks - I'm fairly sure they make money. Seeing as their records are public and all.
the Riders - Well....yeah.....they make money. We didn't KNOW that till recently, but now we do.
the Lions - Seeing as they completely disregard the cap, I'm gonna say, yeah, they make money.
the Als - How many consecutive sell-outs? If they weren't making money, they'd be in more of a hurry to get a new venue.
the Stamps - They make money.

Add to that the simple fact that the majority of those teams haven't needed to be bailed out financially in recent history, and...what do we have here?

GeeBrr being a homer. Big surprise.
