This is great news.....it means someone has a worse head coach than we do....

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

If B O B says the right coach is there, it's had to argue with him. He had every excuse to can Taffe. However if RL says the right coach is here, it makes you wonder.

Sorry Gris, I don't share your opinion. The guy coached a team handed to him by his GM who had made some very questionable moves. I think the new GM won't make those mistakes.

Taffe is a good coach and this was a very good move for the Cats in my mind. Taffe's blunder last year was bringing in US college guys with him that didn't have the proper CFL experience (see Squires).

IMO Hamilton has had a revolving door on management and coaching the past few years and it obviously hasn't worked for them. Perhaps B OB recognizes this and sees that in this case perhaps a little continuity is needed.

              I'd take him over DM.

I would too. He hasa pretty good track record. Ofcourse if we did take him that would mean another ex-montreal coach here.

exactly. Stability has got to be the cornerstone for the Cats right now. Without it there is no way to build even a little confidence.

Taafe may not be the best coach, but he's not bad at all. And with some stability and talent above him in management, then that will certainly make his job easier - or at the very least allow him to stay focused.

                      - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."
