Wow, I don't think I've seen a team implode and draw more penalties in a long time. They're sucking like crazy and it's not helping us if the Stumps get 2 more points. It's now 34 to 16 in the 3rd...looks like the TiCats are nothing without Lummy...nice to see Printers earning the biggest salary in the CFL.

At times I was semi impressed with Printers but with his lack of TD's and inflation of turnovers he isn't helping me out in the CFL pool.

Can anyone actually pinpoint the problem(s) in Hamilton.
Lack of talent could be the obvious answer but that team just hasn't gelled since that 9-9 season.

Is Calgary really as good as Cuthbert and Suitor were pimping them out to be. Their defence doesn't scare me and their offence dissected the worst sieve like defence in the CFL. You can tell that Huff is a pretty good coach although.

And also how does Ricky Ray not get mentioned with Henry Burris when talks of the early candidates for MOP heat up. What has Burris done that Ray hasn't.
No slight against our defence because we held him in check for the majority of the game save for their last quarter surge, but I would like to see him go into that hostile Taylor Field and play that Rider defence. I hate Burris. I hate Calgary. I hate them more than the Riders. WAYYYY MORE.

Printers is crappy....okay maybe not crappy but WAY overated, he was overated the year he won mvp. (Just my opinion which many will not share.)

He's the best when that O-Line bows down to the D-Line and lets them through. He's forced to make plays on the run which he was decent at. That's why he was so good that year in BC. He was exciting. But he really isn't that good of a QB.
I would rather have Richie Williams as the QB their and use Printers 500K for another solid 2-3 legit playmakers.

And just to set the record straight I could care less if Ray wins it or not. He has 2 rings and a Grey Cup MVP to his name. Something Burris will never claim to have. He'll be lucky to have a West Final appearance in his lifetime.
Why this really irks/bothers me is all the talk for the last 2-3 seasons of this being the year for the so athletically gifted Burris only for him to dissapoint when the real lights come on in November. Not that I don't like seeing that. Maybe if he was gifted with a threshold to withstand pain, pressure he would be the great QB most think he is. Except he has to much of an ego to even remotely take the blame when he/his team constantly choke in November. Talking about Burris is like clockwork.

Burris is looking good, and it seems he totally trained differently this offseason.....he very well could win MVP..... IMO the true test will be as the season drags on and it gets closer to Nov, does he take a nose dive, like he is prone to doing. And I agree big time.. He has a massive ego,... hell most on the Offense do have a massive ego....


The season is young and he is working with a vetern recieving core.. lets see what Ray can do wth more time with our recieving core....


Plus burris is a douche.. and I can't stand him and his "i dont do anything wrong" And someone tell me what is with his stance when he's waiting for a ball.. looks like he's trying to drop a log, and dont get me started on his throwing - more times than not he does a faggy little hop and skip when he throws.. looks very gay...

Smilin Hank is a great reg season QB. I'll give him that.

The play-offs, though are a different story.

I had to laugh when they were talking about how much weight training Burris is doing now (how did this thread turn into a Burn Burris one? who cares). He's deadlifting 400lbs! Don't mean to burst your bubble there Hank...but if I've done that much, I should hope you can since you're a professional athelete who has nothing to do but train for a good chunk of the year. Now I didn't catch whether or not he was doing lots of reps at that weight.

Oh and while we're at it...putting those contacts in makes you look stupid. Nyah!

He trained hardcore this off-season to improve his physical strength and toughness, but where he is still weak is his head 'muscles' - they always cramp up late in the season. Man Suitor and Cuthbert were just falling all over themselves with compliments for Calgary as if they could do no wrong. They were pretty much ready to give them the Cup right then and there.

Hamilton on the other hand... I wonder if they have now been "Stegalled" by that crushing play last week... notice how long it has taken our guys to get over that one play. Just when things were looking up, it could be a loooong season in the Hammer. Maybe they should bring in a sports psychologist like BC just did - seemed to make a difference for the Lions.

That's one of the reasons I've been optimistic the last couple years. I always thought..."I could be a Ti-Cat fan...". Maybe losing Lummy took more wind out of the sails than we thought.
Oh, and maybe I'm just biased but it sure seemed like the commentators weren't the only ones loving the Stumps...the zebras seemed to be missing a few things too!
Oh, and to the equipment manager in Hamilton - get some new gloves for the guys that have to carry the ball...too many fumbles!
