Richie Williams - the real deal?

I like the way he handles himself on the field. Reminds me of a calmer Casey Printers. He just LOOKS like a QB when he's on the field, and that's more than you can say for a lot of QBs that have passed through Hamilton's system since McManus retired.

I agree with what Duane Ford said - his mannerisms are deceptive and his creativity is awesome. He's still a bit raw, but you can tell he's only scratching the surface of his talent level.

Hamilton has been losing badly for seven seasons, if I'm them, I don't care how much Printers is being paid, if Richie wins games, then he is the guy. Period.

If I'm running the TiCats, I'd be releasing Printers pretty damn quick.

I don't know about that. I'm not 100% certain about the Ti-Cats cap numbers, but with their team being so young I think they would still have a lot of space even with Printers salary and probably aren't facing any necessity to get rid of him. It's probably not the worst thing in the world to have Casey Printers as your backup QB.

Except for the fact you know he'll throw a tantrum...

Exactly. The money is only a part of it. History has shown that Printers doesn't exactly react well to being a backup.

I think the difference between his time in BC and now is that he's getting paid a whole lot more. Previously he wanted to play so that he could pile up his stats, attract the attention of scouts and get a shot at the NFL (or just a bigger contract). Now that he already has that contract, I don't think he'll be nearly as vocal as he was in BC at not playing every down.

Printers thought he was all that and a bag of chips and then he went to the NFL and found out he wasn't....it hurt his confidence and now he's useless anymore unless he grows up.

I thought they should hve givne Williams a real chance last year. They were fools to pay Printers all that money, totally a one shot wonder.

Printers poor showing during his pre season games at Kansas City should've got him thinking about how to improve his game. Trouble is he seems to try and win the game with a single toss. He's forgotten how to use his legs to keep the play alive and instead tries to hold back like an NFL QB and toss into coverage.

Williams however seems to be using more instincts right now and not relying on the oline to hold the defense off for 5 seconds. Would like to see Williams a couple more games but comes out of a college program on the rise. Youngest QB on the Hamilton roster.

I've always liked Richie Williams. He is the real deal.

Hamilton has the highest paid, and ugliest, cheerleader in the world - Casey Printers. I'd be letting him go pretty damned fast as I think the Ticats still have Timmy Chang hanging around too.

Chang is officially the #4 behind Porter. I believe Printers contract is a guaranteed one which will keep him in town when some other QBs might be on the next train out.

Oh, brother, a GUARANTEED contract? That Bob Young must be dumber than he looks and I didn't think that was possible.

I love that TO blows. I also like that Joseph sucks and is taking a beating.

As for Printers, release him. Keep Williams as the starter and groom that NFL Europe guy they have.
