    Once again, TSN "puts the wood" to CFL fans!

    Just posted this in the Eskimos Forum:

    None of us will get to see the Edm-Mtl game unless we subscribe to TSN2 -- the league just sent out an announcement stating the game will only be shown on TSN2 and RDS due to TSN's commitment to show the entire Ryder Cup! (This is the"only" game they're doing this, BTW - yeah sure...)

    Convenient that it's Montreal vs. Edmonton...
    WHAT ABOUT TSN'S SO-CALLED COMMITMENT TO CFL FANS?????
    WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT?????

    I recall TSN saying the game next week is on TSN2 during the telecast yesterday, but figured it'd be shown on regular network as well.

    Who gives a flying fart about golf unless you're actually partaking????

    @#$%-ing TSN -- I knew we'd get boned at some point as soon as CBC lost the rights! What's next? They're only gonna show the GC on RDS 'cause it's in Montreal? Or worse, figure skating oughta be in full swing so we'll probably get bucket-hooped with that on GS Day! Emmanuel Sandhu! Woo hoo!

      I think we could use a few more ragging on TSN for something they have made public since the schedule was released - that the game on Sept. 21 would be shown on TSN-Alternate (at the time, now TNS2) because the Ryder Cup matches were going to be shown on the regular TSN network.

        I am a Starchoice customer. Does anyone know the channel number for TSN2? TSN alternate channel used to be 401, but it no longer exists.
        The Riders used to be loveable losers. Now, thanks to some of their fans, they're just losers. :P

          I don't think Starchoice provides TSN2 yet.

                    Interesting Access in Saskatchewan has it, and Shaw/Starchoice doesn't... since Access uses their feeds.

                      Ive emailed almost everyone I can think of related to TSN, the CFL, sponsors, and the media complaining about this.

                      I have also created a facebook group for the cause on facebook feel free to join up at least let our voice be heard.

                        I think this is a case of the CFL making their bed, and now they have to lie in it.

                        TSN is contractually obligated to show the Ryder Cup on their main network... the CFL agreed to a deal without such clauses.

                        The Ryder Cup set their date over two years ago... the CFL knows Montreals lease stipulates they can only play home games on Sunday afternoon after LD each year... and even knowing that, still schedule the Al's to be at home next weekend.

                        The league has left itself no recourse, and it's come back to bite them in the ass, and a whole lot of people currently and formerly in that office have some blood on their hands.

                              I just phoned Star Choice and they are still "negotiating with TSN re adding TSN2 and don't know when it will happen"......

                              So for $1.99 a month I've added RDS to my package and will thus be able to watch the game.

                              But what a crock of **** that TSN decides to carry the golf instead....
