Tiger-Cats Sign Setta To Multi-Year Contract
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday that import kicker/punter Nick Setta has agreed to a new multi-year contract that will keep the two-time CFL All-Star in Hamilton through the 2011 season.
"We're excited to have Nick remain with the club," said general manager Bob O'Billovich. "Nick has been a strong contributor on the field, in the locker room, and in this community for the past two years and it was important for us to keep a consistent, high-performance player like Nick in Hamilton for the foreseeable future."
Setta has been named both a CFL and East Division All-Star in each of his two CFL seasons. The Notre Dame product was named the East Division's Most Outstanding Rookie in 2007.
In two seasons, Setta has connected on 73 of 89 field goal attempts (82%) and averaged 45.6 yards per punt.
