    A Classic revisited V4.0

Sung to Don McLean's American Pie

(tune your banjos to A minor)

    A long long time ago
I still remember when the Riders used to make us smile
I knew that if we had a chance that Durrant would have to dance
And maybe we'd be dancing in Regina

But the 4th quarter made me shiver
With the crushing comeback the Als delivered
Bad news on the barn door, We couldn't play with one more

    I can't remember how much I cried
When Cahoon took six from the outside
And Duval burried a dagger so deep inside
    The day.... the Riders died

    So bye bye Rider Pride
Drove our combines and our tractors 'till the hootch jug was dry
Them good ol boys pluckin banjos and cryin
Singin this will be the day that we die
This will be the day that we die

Who wrote this script so sad
And do you believe if Sonic grabbed
Even if the law tells you no

And did you see the kick go wide
We all kissed our sisters with pride
And knew the Pilsner would flow

Then we saw that red flag fly
And karma gave the Als one more try
    The 13th man was on
    Rider Pride dead and gone

I'm just a lonely Rider assistant coach
With a fresh dump of manure on my roses
Our nuts were stomped both blue and black
    The day the Riders died

    Singin, bye bye Rider Pride
Drove our combines and our tractors 'till the fuel ran dry
Them good ol boys pluckin banjos and cryin
The first kick was sailing wide
The first kick was sailing wide.......

    So bye bye Rider Pride
Still tied with Queens, stuck at 3, with no more time
Them good ol boys who couldn't count that high, cryin
This will be the day that we died...
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Had to forward that one to all my rider friends

I could see them selling cases of Molson Export in Montreal that way...

meh, good Rub in Diez, but if you read my post in the thread about the supposed Duval Family incidents, What goes around comes around...I learned that this weekend.

Good luck to your team in the offseason....and I look forward to Rider-Esks battles next season.

Ill be laying low off the CFL boards until around Free Agency arrives....time to focus on the NFL...GO COLTS GO.
