    Now I'm in favour of this but I think it got made for the wrong team. I think one needs to be made for Rider fans telling them not to throw beer cans at opposition players/coaches, and never try and grab a cop's gun when you can't handle your pilsner.

    Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

          Okay......while I don't approve of fans throwing anything....c'mon.

          Don't ban what looks to be a bunch of fans enjoying themselves.

          Beer cup snake = fun (good)
          Throwing the empy cups = bad


          Surely, there can be a compromise here?

            You would think a compromise could be found, unfortunately, there are a few idiots who ruin it for the rest of us (I was part of the beer snake against the Ti-Cats, where this phenomenon really took off).

            You would think there could be a compromise, because you and I are rational people, Opus. We understand that throwing a half full beer from the upper deck, or down 20 rows, is stupid. Unfortunately, there are enough idiots that were doing this, that I can see the necessity to enforce a crackdown. It got pretty out of hand, and that section is pretty high maintenance at the best of times.

            The Bombers made a comment that they are worried this thing would go from the lower deck to the upper, with people reaching over the rail at the top, and I could honestly see that happening as a progression of the beer snake. That could make for a very dangerous situation.

            It was fun while it lasted, it was something unique, but the thing has almost taken on a life of its own. It has gotten a ton of media coverage (somehow?).

            I am sure something else will take its place. Section S will go back to the lab.
