6-2 Als and closing in on the half... kind of inspiring watching this display, knowing these guys both beat us, at home no less! Sometimes you have to laugh not to cry

You know, every game it seems that the Esks get the ball with about 40-60 seconds left in the half at about their own 30 yard line. And what do they do? They hand off to Whitlock, make full use of the 20 second clock, and end the half.

Today, the Lions get the ball on their 33 with 55 seconds left and score a freaking TD in 50 seconds.

Just another way we are outcoached in every single game.

Who makes the call though? Is it Strasser or Hall or someone from upon high? I know the last one is a stretch, but you're right. Arkee's stats were padded in Game 1 because he picked up 40-some on the last two plays with Lions sitting back. Lame.

Hold the opposing team to 16 points and still lose... That's gotta hurt. There may end up being parity in the west, but it's not because all the teams are so strong.

We still have to see if there are as many chinks in Saskatchewan's armour. Hopefully they show up tomorrow..?

You never know, the last few years the Esks always seem to play the best when expectations are the lowest, and this would probably qualify. Of course I suppose expectations just keep getting lower after every loss, and at some point the law of large numbers finally kicks in... but lets stay positive and ignore that possibility
