    Paris Jackson

I was having lunch with a co-worker a few days ago (I live in Vancouver now) and we started talking about the CFL and the BC Lions being eliminated from the playoffs. He told me did you know that Paris Jackson works here in the off-season, in fact he did some work for me. He said he was a great guy, good attitude and has a great personality. Now being an Eskimo fan my mind suddenly went into I hope he joins the eskimos mode! He is a great receiver, a Canadian and lightning quick. He is a BC native and I am not sure if he will be a free agent this year so that might be a problem but isn't it the excatly type of player we need. We need to improve our Canadian talent and we need to have quick receivers. You can do a draft and HOPE to get a quality player in a few years time or we can bring him in now Mr. Tillman if you read this. In any event I hope I get a chance to talk to him when re-joins the company in a few weeks! It is always fun to talk cfl football at work! It makes the day go by faster!

He certainly would improve just about any CFL's team Cdn talent. He might be a little pricey for our SMS though. No way we could have him and KP as Cdn receivers. Some on here seem to think KP is done as an Esk, but he is always in great shape . Just had some bad luck, injurywise this year. Also Jackson will be 31 this July ,two years younger than KP. Maybe a little old to bring in on a rebuilding club.

I'd rather see us go for a bigger SB to compliment Stamps. We have the #2 pick overall in the draft and maybe should consider the Dinos Anthony Parker. Listed at 6'2 and 215. Very fast for that size. Could break him in slowly as KP's backup.

Jackson signed an extension prior to the 2009 season. If it was only for 1+1 he'd be an FA this offseason. I expect it would be at 2+1, possibly longer. So not likely he's available this offseason unless Buono wants to trade him or release him. An article last week mentioned first thing on Buono's agenda is to deal with a "small handful" of pending free agents led by the other Jackson, Jarious. No mention of Paris.

According to Paris' bio on the Lions' website he lives in Vancouver in the offseason with his girlfriend and their daughter. http://www.bclions.com/roster/show/id/306

I wouldn't mind seeing Paris Hilton in an Eskimo uniform.
Maciocia, Hall, Strasser, Hairston and Thorpe are finally all gone. The rest will take care of itself.

Good luck Kavis Reed and the rest of the Esks' new coaching staff!

i think Paris is one of those players that the GM trades his left nut to keep on the roster

Out of uniform might not be too bad either.

IMO the only way Paris Jackson comes here is through massive overpayment, considering he's got a good situation in BC, a team on the upswing, and his roots are there.

Considering our new GM doesn't do that sort of thing and no team can really afford to overpay to that degree, I can't see it happening.

How about Coehoorn from the Dinos? From the little bit I've watched of the CIS playoffs, he looks like the real deal.

Either one of them would be a pretty good pick.
