    Bombers/Stamps

Glad you're all on my side, this week!

Tsoumpas back for the Stamps, but Kent is back at linebacker for the Bombers (Pushing Hefney back, and Beasley out).

Vega out, replaced by a combination. Hopefully not a major issue.

I think we can get the pressure, am more worried about contain. DBs can pick off Burris if he's harried enough.

Offence has to get better. Watched a lot of specific drills for Watson and Edwards clearing up timing this week (Including the LaPo to Edwards comment, "Do you hate getting touchdowns? Catch the ball! Get one!")

I think this will be our toughest test yet, but I think if things are tight from the get-go we can do it. Defense is up to the task, as long as we spot them nothing. Kent back will help on special teams, and Johnson as a holder has to be improved off last week.

Just a couple TDs, and we should be gold.

As a plus, I'm bringing my son to the game tonight, and the Bombers have never lost a game he's been at! Why would they start now?

Here's to meeting the Esks as two undefeated teams!

So does Hefney play db or is he out of the lineiup?

That is one hell of. Defence you guys have there. How much is your first overall and the receiver in the supplemental playing?

        Hefney plays DB.

Poblah (supplemental pick) is out with knee injury from first game after two drops. I think his upside is higher, but right now Hargreaves playing in his spot can't really be seen as a downgrade.

Muamba (first over-all) is back to doing some running after his pre-season injury, and should be working hard on ST next week or the one after, no one is expecting him in the starting line-up with our current crop of LBs.

Also, Ettienne (4th over-all) is on the roster as Hargreaves/Watson's back-up. Still learning but looking better in practice every day.

So, to answer how much they are playing the simple answer is: Not at all

Still, I'm expecting that despite Vega's injury, the return of Kent make our defense actually better than it has been the first two weeks, if Calgary's O-Line is not much better than they have been so far, O'Dell is going to eat them alive!

the shuffle in the secondary moves Hefney back to HB, Jovon Johnson back to CB and Beasley to backup but still on the 46

IF Winnipeg and Edmonton were to meet as "undefeated teams", then considering we play Calgary in back-to-back weeks leading up to it, there would be some serious gnashing of teeth and pitchforks coming out in Cowtown. I picked Winnipeg to win this week, but I'm not so sure we'll be as lucky -- as great as we've played lately, Calgary just seems to have our number so far. I'm hoping that we have it worked out by the labour day double-dip!

Well, I'm packing up to go (with a brief stop at a meeting). Be back in the next day or two to give you the full break-down of our awesome victory!

There is a statement that probably would have gotten you a stay in a room with padded walls two weeks ago

Pierce has looked very good this year, but can he stay healthy? Frank made an early appearance this year for the Stamps. When will Hank make his return?

Those Bomber retro uni's are sharp... especially compared to those hideous ones the Stamps are wearing.

This just in--glassman Pierce now on the bench with a quad injury. He's taken a real beating so far and the Stumps have taken 2 roughing penalties with late hits. Wonder if they were deliberate to send a message??

Or deliberate to see if glassman Pierce would break? I haven't seen anything dirty, but it's a hitting game and I think they're trying to get their shots in on him within the rules.

The two hits that were both well over a second late....?

Bomber defense is out scoring the Calgary offense 2-0 through 37 minutes...

They were a little late but the hits themselves weren't dirty.
