Davis & Cats still at odds

I just saw this article, and it made me think about the possibilities regarding the Ray/Maas/Jones/Johnson situation. The Ti-Cats could use a younger QB urgently ( they got Ben Sankey??), and both Jones and Maas fit the bill. While I think the Eskimos would like to keep Maas around, I don't think that Jones has the same trade value, so they may be forced to move Jason. But with that in mind, getting Davis would be a great return...

I think there's going to be a lot of 'sit and wait' when it comes to EE qbs. The Cats have Marcus Brady backing up McManus do they not?

From a QB standpoint the Cats (and everyone else) would do well to see who gets released from the esks and then pick them up without a trade.

From a Davis standpoing the Cats gain more to resolve issues. If they can't I'd say they would be calling Wally if anyone.

can they afford to wait? Bishop still has not decided if he is going to return to the CFL....IMO, those two teams are in direct competition for another QB....if one of them snoozes too long they could be SOL....

            yeah... true dat!

So the Argos want a QB, the Cats have a disgruntled RB and the Esks have an extra QB... how will that three way work?

The EE will go with McClendon and Joseph battling it out at camp, IMO

We really don't need a RB, and I'd be upset if we wasted a trade on one. Lets get oursleves a quality NI OL.

There were many years that the Esks didn't have a truly stellar RB. And they managed to do o.k.

If Davis comes this way I can only hope that a) we don't overpay and/or b) we don't trade someone of too great a value.

All I can say is that his beautiful situation for the Esks has certainly brought out the whiners. Check out TSN.ca if you want to read ad nauseum about violations of the salary cap and the green and gold.

                            Bunch of wanna-be's...
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

                              Im just razzing.

I of all people realize the worth of the "no-names".

Thats why I love going to camp and watching the newbies come in and see who shines. 2 years ago I watched a guy named Matt Dominguez come into camp and dominate....and he's a star now.

Im sure the Esks will find a suitable replacement. Personally I hope Mike Bradley gets the job, but who knows.

Speaking of which, if the esks were smart, they'd go after an american imprt lineman, named Rob Vian who is sitting at home waiting for a football opportunity. The only reason the riders didnt keep him around was ratio reasons, but the man is amazing, and im surprised he hasnt resurfaced in the league.

Lastly, keeping on topic, I dont think there is any way that Troy Davis will be traded by the Cats, he is their best player.
